A U.S. based Internet business utilising a “brick and mortar” warehouse was recently raided by federal and local law enforcement personnel. After receiving a tip and authorization from an existing client, Vaudra Ltd. initiated a private investigation via the Defendant’s website and was able to gather enough physical evidence and background information to interest the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. On March 31, 2010, law enforcement swarmed into the Lodi, New Jersey warehouse and seized a container load of fake designer cell phone accessories. The target had been selling and shipping the contraband to domestic and international retail locations.
North Carolina Private Protective Service Board Elects First Woman to Serve as Chairperson
The North Carolina Private Protective Services Board (PPSB) has selected Tamara Rabenold to lead the Private Protective Services Board as chairperson. Rabenold is the first woman to serve in this position since the Board was created 50 years ago.
